The figures show that three-quarters of the scheme’s budget was not spent halfway through its first year, highlighting concerns about the low level of implementation of the government’s home heating modernization program. Critics question the ability to spend £17m a month on the scheme from now until April to run out of funding. There were also concerns about the lack of publicity for the project.
