United Kingdom: Renowned German engineering and electronics company Bosch has announced the launch of a range of VRF air conditioning units in the UK.
This month’s launch coincides with similar launches in many European countries, including Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Poland. The launch follows a joint venture with Chinese manufacturer Midea that The Cooling Post first reported on last April.
Bosch Climate 5000 VRF offers power from 8 kW to 200 kW. The heat recovery system has an EER of 7.0 and a SEER of up to 8.0 at 50% load (8 HP). Each module is capable of providing continuous heating during the defrost cycle, providing high performance from -20°C to 48°C.
Climate 5000 VRF can be used in 3-pipe heat recovery systems, 2-pipe VRF heat pump systems and micro heat pumps. The range of micro heat pumps can be upgraded to control an indoor unit in a single zone using only one outdoor unit with a connected junction box, making it ideal for small homes, commercial buildings and small retail establishments.
The RDCI (Total DC Inverter Heat Recovery) and SDCI (Total DC Inverter Heat Pump) variable frequency drive compressors provide maximum reliability and allow each system to operate in duct lengths up to 1000 meters.
Bosch also claims that its patented inverter module air-cooling technology provides more efficient cooling of electrical components to improve overall performance. The design of the grille, combined with the increased heat exchanger area and transmission ratio, means that the temperature of the control unit can drop as low as 8°C.
In addition, the so-called innovative fan design on the larger unit delivers an overall performance boost with 14.3% more airflow and up to 4dB noise reduction. Four- and three-blade fans offered in the RDCI range, as well as SDCI modules with power from 12 to 18 hp. plus the night function is said to make the perfect solution for real estate projects.
In addition to the new VRF system, Bosch also offers a centralized controller capable of controlling up to 1024 units individually and monitoring the power consumption of each unit using a smartphone, tablet or PC. An SMS service linked to the system is also available and a text message with a report will be sent in the event of a device failure.
Announcing the UK launch, Business Development Director Geoff Hobbs said: “Building services companies are increasingly faced with the challenge of recommending and installing flexible heating and hot water systems that maximize efficiency. Task. With this in mind, we decided to implement a VRF system that delivers maximum heating and cooling comfort efficiently and at scale.”
Jeff added: “Our decision to enter the UK air conditioning market means that those in the industry can rely on the knowledge and experience of a global brand with a deep understanding of the UK building services industry.”
