STMicroelectronics Showcases Technologies for Smarter Mobility, Energy Efficiency and Industrial Applications at Electronica 2022
Geneva, Switzerland, November 14, 2022 – STMicroelectronics STM, a global semiconductor leader serving electronics customers, will showcase innovative technologies at electronica 2022 (November 15-18) in Munich, Germany. ST focuses on four areas of great interest to customers: intelligent mobility, industrial Internet of Things and factory automation, energy management and energy efficiency, and the development and security of connected systems based on artificial intelligence. More than 35 demonstrations will showcase technologies already deployed in the field, as well as existing systems and devices from customers and partners, as well as innovative next-generation solutions. In addition to the showroom event, ST also aired live over the three days of the Electronica event.
Innovation for Smarter Mobility ST develops vehicle electrification solutions to help automakers create longer-range, more affordable electric vehicles. The company has also created advanced digital systems to deliver new levels of performance and security. The electric muscle car will showcase the full suite of battery management system (BMS) technologies as well as BMS reference designs to highlight the easy integration of these high-performance features into a cost-effective system. Numerous vehicle power demonstrations highlight ST’s expertise in fundamental energy-related technologies that enable electric vehicles to go further and be more efficient. Another demo showed how ST’s innovative smart fuses provide reliable and programmable protection.
ST will also demonstrate virtualization and its ability to isolate and run multiple applications on its next-generation Stellar SR6 microcontroller for software-defined vehicles. Other demos include ST’s latest hybrid imaging technology for in-vehicle monitoring, ideal for monitoring occupants and security systems.
At the Electronica conference and forum, ST will talk about silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) for automotive energy applications, as well as security issues in CNC vehicles. The ST smart mobile device live broadcast is scheduled for November 15 at 11:00 CET. Sign here.
Innovations for the Industrial Internet of Things and Factory Automation ST develops technologies that enable industrial applications to meet the challenges of digitalization and secure connectivity. The company also provides industry-leading tools to support the development of embedded applications using artificial intelligence/machine learning methods. Building on its industry-leading STM32 microcontroller family and ecosystem, ST’s demos for Industrial IoT & Factory Automation include a unique ST-developed industrial-sensor evaluation kit for temperature- and vibration-based condition monitoring.
